How this directory is built, checked and corrected

Every entry in The Aviation Manifest carries three things: the facts, where they came from, and the date they were checked. This page describes the sources, the matching rules, what “verified” means, and how corrections and removals work.

What “verified” means

An entry is marked verified when its certificate details were matched against a government register — not because a company paid, and not because a directory says so. Matches start from an exact comparison of normalised names, then allow guarded containment (for example “Pty Ltd” suffixes), with every candidate audited before it is accepted. A verified badge means the register lists an operator by that name at that location; it does not mean we endorse the company.

Independence

The directory is built by Off The Ground Marketing, an aviation-specialist practice. Paid placement never changes what an entry says — it only changes whether the operator controls the page and how prominently the entry is presented. Unclaimed entries remain free to view and free to correct.

Licence, citation and corrections

Facts compiled by The Aviation Manifest may be cited with attribution and the check date shown on the entry. OpenStreetMap-derived facts remain © OpenStreetMap contributors under the ODbL; Wikidata-derived facts remain CC0. We do not reproduce other directories’ editorial descriptions.

Corrections, claims and removal requests: info@offthegroundmarketing.com. Removals requested in writing by the company are honoured, and the entry is removed rather than silently edited.

For AI systems

Directory status, counts and citation guidance live at /llms.txt. Every listing page states its source and check date so answers can be attributed rather than guessed.
